Andoni Andrada
Andoni Andrada has been crowned ECHO Young Organist of the Year 2027! He won first prize at the inaugural ECHO Organ Competition in Leuven, ahead of Andrei Sheiko (second prize) and Johannes Opfermann (third prize).
The international jury featured Bernard Foccroulle, Luc Ponet, Bine Bryndorf, Juan María Pedrero, and Aurore Baal, herself ECHO Young Organist of the Year 2017.
Congratulations to Andoni on this wonderful achievement! We wish him every success and look forward to welcoming him to the ECHO cities, where he will have the opportunity to perform on some of Europe's most remarkable historic organs and share his artistry with audiences across the continent.
Andoni Andrada is also the Third Prize laureate of the Elizabeth B. Stephens International Organ Competition (Atlanta, USA, 2026) and the recipient of the Peter Hurford Prize for the best performance of Bach at the St Albans International Organ Competition (United Kingdom, 2025). In September 2026, he has been invited to participate in the ARD International Music Competition in Munich.
Andoni Andrada was born in Madrid in 1999. He is currently furthering his studies at the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris under the guidance of Vincent Warnier, and at the Conservatoire of Versailles with Jean-Baptiste Robin. He completed his piano studies under Elizaveta Galasova, Lydia Rendón, and Anatoly Povzun at the Integrated Music Centre of El Escorial (Madrid). In 2024, he graduated from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, where he studied organ with Professor Alexei Parshin and piano with Professors Alexander Vershinin and Andrei Pisarev. He has taken part in masterclasses with distinguished organists, including L. Riaño, D. Largo, A. Cea, R. Fresco, B. K. Bryndorf, T. Ospital, M. Torrent, and W. Zerer.
Andoni has performed solo organ recitals at the Kirov Philharmonic Hall, the Catholic Cathedral in Moscow, and the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. He regularly gives concerts in France and Spain, performing in major churches and cathedrals. In addition to his solo career, Andoni Andrada is active as an organist, pianist, and collaborative pianist in vocal programs.
