From 22 to 27 September 2026, the 29th International Organ Festival of Fribourg celebrates the rich organ heritage of Fribourg with an inspiring programme performed on some of Switzerland's finest historic instruments.
This year's festival brings together internationally acclaimed artists, including Maurizio Croci, Andrés Cea Galán, Rie Hiroe, Wolfgang Kogert and the Accademia Bizantina under the direction of Ottavio Dantone. Their concerts explore a wide musical landscape, from the Venetian splendour of the Gabrielis to Spanish Renaissance masterpieces, German Romanticism and the elegance of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
Alongside the evening concerts, the festival presents lunchtime recitals by young talents, a masterclass, lectures and a family performance of Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals.
