Marie Petit

Marie Petit graduated from the LUCA School of Arts, Lemmens Campus in Leuven, where she earned her Master's degree in Organ magna cum laude under the inspiring guidance of Luc Ponet. Keen to broaden her artistic development, she has participated in masterclasses with internationally renowned organists, including Benoît Mernier, Johannes Ebenbauer, and Karol Mossakowski.

Marie is the titular organist of the parishes of Philippeville and Lonzée. She performs regularly in recital and in collaboration with other musicians, notably trumpeter Antoine Petit and traverso player Francesco Lussoligni, both in Belgium and abroad. In January 2023, Marie founded the non-profit organization Philanthr'Orgues, whose mission is to support the acquisition of a new organ for the church of Philippeville and to promote its musical life through the organization of concerts. Deeply committed to the promotion of organ heritage, she is also actively involved in organizing organ concerts in Leuven as Coordinator of Leuven Orgelstad. Marie serves on the Board of the International Organ Festival Haarlem (The Netherlands) and is a member of the European advisory committee “Youth Voices for Heritage”. In addition, she coordinates the ECHO Young Ambassadors  group and the ensemble Baroque & More.

Alongside her musical career, Marie is pursuing a PhD within the Production and Logistics research group at KU Leuven, having previously obtained a Master's degree in Business Engineering from the same university in June 2021.
